Custom Blythe Doll
“Blythe is a fashion doll created in 1972. It's about 28 cm (11 inch) tall, with an oversized head and large eyes that change color with the pull of a string. There is a network of hobbyists who customize the doll for resale and create clothing and shoes for it.” (Wikipedia)
I wanted to try my hand at it, it was a lot of work but very enjoyable. On this photo you can see how she arrived. The customization I’ve done to her include: Face paint removal, carving and makeup. Eyelashes replacement. Back plate customization (artwork). Eye chip replacement (3 made from scratch, one bought pre-made). Sleepy eye modification. Hair Dye and clothing (thighs and jacket) that I’ve also sewn myself.
